Around 1991, the New England Society for Wood Cookery was formed. In 1994, the Wood Cookery Society became The New England Barbecue Society, a stable, fiscally responsible, not-for-profit, group of dedicated BBQ cooks and consumers.
VERMONT MAPLE BBQ is proud to announce that since 2006 we have competed in the Kansas City BBQ Society's Northeast Regional BBQ Championship, an invitational only competition drawing over forty BBQ Teams from as far away as Texas, Tennessee and all parts of the US. It is held annually at the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, VT.
